Segment detail
11 segments. Median + range.
Medians, not averages. Ranges show the 10th to 90th percentile of completed offers in the quarter. A car at the top of its range is usually clean, low owner count, with full service history and (for hybrids) a recent battery health report.

Commentary
Why the numbers moved.
PCO Prius Gen 4 climbing
Demand from Uber Comfort and PHV fleet operators is firm. The pool of well-kept Gen 4 cars between 150k and 220k miles is shrinking faster than replacements arrive. We expect this segment to add another 2 to 4 percent through Q3.
Gen 3 Prius softening
Hybrid battery condition is now the deciding factor on every Gen 3 offer. Cars with verified Toyota battery health checks still clear the upper range; cars without are dropping to the lower end faster than they were last quarter.
TXE strength tied to ZEC pipeline
The Zero Emission Capable mandate continues to widen the TXE / TX4 gap. Owner-driver demand for electric black cabs outstrips supply in London and Manchester. Provincial demand is catching up.
WAV market plateauing on healthy ground
NHS and care-provider procurement is flat but reliable. Conversions in good cosmetic order with documented service history hold their value better than equivalent non-converted vehicles.
Methodology
How we put the numbers together.
Source 1, primary: SellYourCab.co.uk completed transactions in the reporting quarter. Median calculated from the firm-offer figure that the seller accepted, not from any earlier guideline.
Source 2, supporting: Public auction hammer prices from BCA, Manheim, and Aston Barclay where lots include clearly identified PCO / Hackney vehicles. Used to widen the range, not to set the median.
Outliers: Removed before percentile calculation. Specifically: accident-damage vehicles, repossession lots, export-only premium lots, and any seller who took an offer at > 1.5 standard deviations above the segment mean (because that buyer pool is not representative).
Update cadence: Quarterly. Numbers refresh on the first working day of January, April, July, October.
