What's inside each issue
Five sections. Three minutes. Every Monday.
Section 01
The Number
One headline figure each week, the trade auction price for a 2021 LEVC TX, the average ULEZ exemption denial rate, the going rate for an ex-Uber Prius. With one-paragraph context.
Section 02
Regulatory Pulse
TfL announcements, PCO licensing changes, ULEZ + Clean Air Zone updates, policy proposals you should know about. Plain English.
Section 03
Vehicle Values
What's holding value, what's dropping. We pay attention to LEVC TX, Toyota Prius, Tesla Model 3, Mercedes Vito Tourer, and the WAV market specifically, because that's our beat.
Section 04
Market Insight
One short take from inside the trade. Why dealers won't retail ex-PHV. What's happening at BCA. Trends we're seeing across thousands of vehicle purchases.
Section 05
The Driver Question
One question from a reader, one practical answer. Submitted via reply, your name stays anonymous. The question that helps everyone.
Section -
And nothing else.
No ads inside the email. No sponsored sections. No 'click here for our partner offer'. Just the briefing, read in three minutes, done.
Why we send it
Honest take
We buy cabs for a living. The drivers we meet ask the same questions in different words. “Should I sell now?” “What's my Prius worth at 90k?” “Will TfL keep extending ULEZ?” The Cab Week is the email we'd want if we were still driving, written by people who've been in the trade long enough to know what matters.
The honest commercial reason: drivers who read us trust us. When they exit their vehicle, whether in 6 months or in 2 years, they call us first. That's the only marketing relationship we want.

What 200,000 miles actually does to a Prius offer
Driver question: 'My 2018 Prius hit 200k last month. Am I sitting on £4k or £8k?' We pull our last 30 Mk4 Prius transactions, break them down by mileage band, and show where the curve actually breaks.

Plate-strip: what it costs, who handles it, and why it matters to your offer
A reader asked why plate-strip fees show up differently across quotes. We break down what de-plating actually costs, which costs are passed to the seller, and what a clean line-item breakdown should look like.
