By using sellyourcab.co.uk you agree to these terms. They cover use of the site, the valuation enquiry, appointments, and the sale of a vehicle to us.
How a valuation works
There is no instant online price. You submit your registration, mileage and details about the vehicle's condition, finance, damage and service history. A valuer reviews your enquiry by hand and sends a firm written offer, usually within 2 hours in opening hours. The offer email states the exact figure and how long it is open for.
Offer validity
Every offer we send states its own expiry date. It is open for at least 72 hoursfrom the date it is sent; the valuer may set a longer window (7, 14 or 30 days), and the offer email always shows the exact date. After an offer expires, contact us for an updated figure.
Inspection and adjustments
Your offer is subject to inspection at handover. It assumes the vehicle is mechanically sound, with no major faults or significant bodywork damage beyond anything already disclosed. Normal wear consistent with its age and mileage is allowed for.
Undisclosed mechanical faults, significant bodywork damage or other material differences in the vehicle, mileage or documentation may reduce the offer. We will explain and agree any adjustment with you before the sale proceeds.
Payment
We pay by bank transfer at handover, on the day, once the vehicle and paperwork checks are complete. Your written offer states whether it is based on collection from an agreed UK location, drop-off at SellYourCab HQ, or either option. A drop-off-only offer does not include collection. We arrange the date and time with you directly.
Cancellations
You can cancel or rearrange a handover appointment free of charge before the agreed time. Reply to your confirmation, call our team, or visit /manage-my-appointment for help finding your enquiry and contacting us.
Title and finance
Bring the V5C in your name and proof of identity. If the V5C is missing or not in your name, we can consider a purchase only after reviewing your ownership documents and confirming that we can proceed. Please contact us before arranging handover. If your vehicle is on finance, we settle directly with your lender on the day and pay you any balance.
Limitation of liability
We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this site. Nothing limits liability for fraud or anything that cannot be limited under UK law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
