TX (Mk1 facelift, 2020-2023)
Battery upgrade to 31 kWh (effective) with software-improved usable range, plus interior trim refresh. Demand from the licensed-Hackney trade is strongest in this band because of the higher real-world range without the price step-up of the latest spec.
Typical condition: 100,000-200,000 miles. Heart of the active TX market.
TX (Mk1, 2023+)

Why do I need a specialist buyer for an LEVC TX?+
The TX is a niche vehicle. Generalist used-car buyers don't have the dealer network to re-sell to licensed Hackney trade, they'll either decline or lowball heavily. We have direct relationships with London Hackney fleet operators who actively look for TX stock.
Do you buy older TX4 or TXII Hackneys too?+
Yes. Pre-LEVC TX4 (2007-17) and TXII (1997-06) both still trade actively, there's a continental-export market plus UK private buyers who want classic London cab styling. Smaller offer than a modern TX but a real number, not a scrap quote.
What if my TX has a battery issue?+
We can still buy. A degraded battery on a TX is a known cost to refurbish, we'll price it in honestly upfront rather than discover it at collection. Bring any diagnostic reports you have, the more we know on day one, the firmer the offer.
Is the plate fee refundable when I sell?+
TfL plate fees are non-transferable. The cab keeps the plate until you formally surrender it. The value of a live-plate TX over an unplated TX is the licensed-trade premium, which depends on the remaining plate validity; we price it into your offer.
Is a TX5 different from the LEVC TX?+
No. There is no TX5, LEVC has never sold a cab under that name. The London electric black cab is the LEVC TX: an electric motor drives the wheels, and a petrol range extender charges the battery. If you are selling what you call a TX5, you are selling a TX, and this page covers it.
Can I sell my LEVC TX while it is still on finance?+
Yes, and it is routine. Tell us up front, we request the settlement figure from your lender, pay the lender directly on the day of collection and transfer any balance to you. If the settlement is higher than the offer, we tell you plainly before you commit to anything.

We come to you anywhere in the UK at no charge, at a time you choose. If you would rather drop the vehicle at our Bethnal Green office, that is fine too.
When and how do I get paid?+
Paid in full by bank transfer before your vehicle leaves, after inspection and agreement. There are no selling or admin fees. The price holds if the vehicle is as described. Any change is explained first, and you can say no.
What do I need to have ready on the day?+
The V5C logbook in your name, photo ID, both sets of keys and your UK bank details. Bring the service history and any finance settlement letter if you have them.
