Complaints

Last updated: 2026-10-19

If something has gone wrong, tell us. We would rather hear it directly and put it right.

How to complain

Email enquiries@sellyourcab.co.uk with "Complaint" in the subject line, message us on WhatsApp, or call 020 7871 7671 (Mon-Sat 08:00-20:00 · Sun closed). Tell us the registration or the name on the enquiry, what happened, and what you would like us to do.

What happens next

  • We reply within 24 hours to acknowledge it, the same promise as any other message.
  • We aim to give you a full written answer within 14 days. If we need longer, for example because we are waiting on a lender, a dealer or an inspection report, we tell you why and when to expect it.
  • If we got it wrong we say so and explain how we will put it right. If we disagree, we explain our reasons in writing.

If you are still not satisfied

Tell us. If we cannot reach agreement we will say so in writing. You can also get free, independent advice on your consumer rights from the Citizens Advice consumer service, which can also pass a case to Trading Standards. Nothing on this page removes any legal right you have.

Complaints about your personal data

Raise these with us first in the same way. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Our privacy policy explains what we hold and why.

Complaints about a dealer

If a dealer from our network bought your vehicle and something went wrong after the sale, tell us as well as the dealer. Dealers who receive enquiries through us agree to our dealer code of conduct, and we want to know when it is not kept.
