What is the difference between a TX5 and the LEVC TX?+
There is no difference, because there is no TX5. LEVC has never sold a cab under that name. The London electric black cab is the LEVC TX: an electric motor drives the wheels, and a small petrol range extender charges the battery when it runs low, so it is not a pure battery-electric vehicle. My cab's battery range has dropped. Can you still buy it?+
Yes. A tired pack on an electric cab is a known refurbishment cost, we price it in honestly upfront rather than spring it on you at collection. Bring any diagnostic reports, the more we know on day one, the firmer the offer.
Do I keep my TfL plate when I sell?+
TfL plates are non-transferable, so the cab keeps its plate until you surrender it. A live-plate electric cab carries a licensed-trade premium over an unplated one, typically a few thousand pounds depending on remaining plate validity.
How fast can you collect and pay?+
