VW main-dealer service stamps (Inchcape, Listers, Vindis, etc.) add £500 to £900 over independent service. VW Service Plan transfers add another £300 to £500 because the next operator gets remaining services at the agreed VW rate. Audi or Skoda service stamps on a VW are treated as neutral, the same parts but different brand books.

Passat GTE vs Skoda Superb iV

Passat GTE trades £300 to £700 above an equivalent Skoda Superb iV despite sharing the platform and powertrain. The VW badge commands a modest premium in the trade market. We pay competitively at the VW end because the broader chauffeur buyer pool sits with VW rather than Skoda.

DSG transmission condition

VW Group DQ381 7-speed wet-clutch DSG is more robust than the older DQ200 dry-clutch unit. Cars with documented DSG fluid + filter changes every 40,000 miles add £400 to £700 to our offer because the trade buyer knows the preventative maintenance has been done. Audible DSG hesitation at low speeds knocks £600 to £1,200 off pending diagnostic.

ID.4 Pro vs Pure

ID.4 Pro (77 kWh battery) commands £3,000 to £5,000 over the ID.4 Pure (52 kWh) for equivalent age and mileage. The real-world 220+ miles opens up airport-run chauffeur work that the Pure can't reliably support. ID.4 GTX (AWD) adds another £1,500 to £2,500 over the Pro.

Both keys + charging cables (PHEV / EV)

Missing the spare key knocks £150 to £250 off a VW offer (key cut + program is £220 at most franchises). For Passat GTE, Golf eHybrid, and ID.4, the granny charger (3-pin domestic) and Type 2 charging cable are part of the original delivery; missing them knocks another £100 to £200.

I have a Passat GTE Estate. Is the boot space premium real?

Yes, £400 to £700 above the saloon. Airport-runner chauffeur drivers actively filter for the estate body because of the 650 to 1,780 litre load capacity. The saloon is more common; the estate is more useful, and value reflects that.

My Golf eHybrid is on a VW Service Plan. Can I transfer it?

Does the ID.4 hold value better than the ID.3?

Worth checking, yes. The DQ381 7-speed wet-clutch DSG used in Passat GTE is more robust than the older DQ200, but heavy-use cabs at 130k+ miles can show mechatronic wear that requires £1,200 to £1,800 specialist rebuild.
